About Us:
Vincent Amato & Co is a chartered accounting practice located in modern offices in Hawthorn. We provide easy access for both our clients and staff. We have an opportunity for a Senior to Accountant to join our friendly team on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Role:
As our new Senior Accountant, you’ll prepare financial statements and income tax returns for our client base of operating businesses and high net worth family groups/individuals.
In this role you will be:
- Providing sound tax compliance, planning and advice to our clients
- Mentoring and supervising graduates
- Manage workflow, budgets and deadlines across the year
- Assisting in the delivery of consulting engagements
- Maintaining an awareness of and engaging with changing technologies to deliver the most current and proactive advice to our clients
About You:

To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following:
- Valid rights to work in Australia (required)
- 2 plus years of Australian Tax Agent/Business Services experience – (required)
- Will have commenced/completed CA or CPA qualification (preferred)
- Experience with all types of entities, including companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds
- Experience with Big 4 or 2nd Tier Chartered Accounting firms (preferred)
- Strong IT skills, including Xero Certification and advanced Excel skills (desired)
- Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills
